Living Costs

Cost of living is generally defined as average cost of basic necessities of life (as food and shelter and clothing). For an international student it is an essential issue as how to tackle their living costs and hence not creating an extra pressure on them.

Living costs in Australia are realtively lower than many other developed countries thus making it an affordable place whilst enjoying the basic necessities of life. As a single student you will need approximately A$12,000–A$17,000 per year for living expenses such as accommodation, food, transport, textbooks and some spending money.

Below is the table for average cost of living in Australian territories. Please note that it’s just an average calculation of the cost and subjected to vary depending on an individual’s life style.
